Diabetes Education
Diabetes Educators help people with diabetes self-manage their condition to improve their quality of life. They can help people at any stage of their diagnosis – whether they’ve just been diagnosed or whether they’ve been living with diabetes for some time.
What we offer
Our services are available to anyone managing any type of diabetes—whether it's Pre-Diabetes, Type 1, Type 2, Gestational, or Medication-related Diabetes. No matter where you are on your diabetes journey, we're here to offer support and guidance.
Diabetes Educators provide a wide range of support tailored to your needs. We offer detailed education about different types of diabetes and help with preventing and treating ‘hypo’. Our goal is to give you personalised assistance and review your condition to ensure you get the most effective care. If needed, we can connect you with Endocrinology support via Telehealth.
When it comes to treatment, we guide you on diet and exercise, manage oral medications, and offer advice on insulin therapy, non-insulin injectables, and insulin pumps. We also help with self-blood glucose testing, providing access to the latest equipment and teaching you how to use it effectively. Plus, we support you with continuous and flash glucose monitoring.
We offer practical strategies for adjusting medication or insulin for activities like sports, travel, and everyday life. Whether you’re preparing for a school camp, an excursion, or managing your day-to-day routine, we're here to help you navigate these challenges.
