Exercise Physiology

Exercise Physiologists design exercise programs and provide education to support individuals with chronic conditions or those recovering from injuries. Our goal is to help you prevent and manage these health concerns while enhancing your physical function, health, and overall wellness.

What we offer

An Exercise Physiologists can assist with:

  • Heart Conditions: Exercise tailored to support recovery and improve heart health.

  • Lung Conditions: Exercise tailored to support recovery and improve lung health

  • Neurological Disorders: Rehabilitation for conditions such as MS, stroke and Parkinson’s

  • Diabetes: Exercise to help regulate blood sugar levels and improve overall health.

  • Cancer: Supportive exercise to aid recovery and manage side effects of treatment.

  • Pain Management: Techniques to reduce persistent pain and improve quality of life.

  • Musculoskeletal Conditions: Rehabilitation for sports injuries, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, fractures and other muscle and bone issues.

  • Strength and Conditioning: Individualised exercise programs designed to build strength and achieve patient goals

  • Women’s Health Conditions/Post-Partum Recovery: Specialised exercises to support recovery after childbirth and address women's health issues.

  • Preventative exercise: Supporting those at risk of developing chronic health conditions, such as individuals with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or those who are overweight.

We offer a range of specialised group exercise programs within our community to aid in rehabilitation and prevention.

Our group sessions include:

  • Cardiac Rehabilitation: Tailored exercises designed to help individuals recover from heart events or surgeries.

  • Falls Prevention: Exercises aimed at improving balance and reducing the risk of falls.

  • Gentle Exercise: Low-impact strength training suitable for all fitness levels.

  • Exercise-Based Rehabilitation Classes: Targeted exercises to aid recovery and improve function

  • Aquatic Therapy: also known as hydrotherapy, involves exercise and treatment in a heated pool.

How to access

Anyone is welcome to access our Exercise Physiology services. No referral is required.

Cost

$10 Concession

$15 Non-Concession

 

There is no cost for children under 18, whose parents have proof of concession. Concession will cover health care card, disability, and aged pension card holders. Seniors Card does not apply.

 

There is no cost for DVA card holders.
