Parenting Support

West Wimmera Health Service's Hindmarsh Day Stay and Positive Parenting Centre supports families with any parenting issues that arise with your baby or toddler, including settling, sleep, feeding, development and behaviour.

What we offer

The full day program is led by specialist staff including midwives, Maternal and Child Health nurses and Early Parenting Practitioners. It provides an opportunity for families to get one-on-one support, guidance, and tips on any parenting issues in a nurturing environment that mimics all the comfortable elements of home.

The Centre is purposely set up outside of clinical spaces in a residential-like building, complete with bedrooms, cots, toys, bottle sterilisers, a kitchen, bathroom, and lounge area. We aim to provide an ideal space to practice parenting techniques and strategies so that once you've gained all the skills and tips that the program offers, you feel confident in transitioning back home and continuing to apply all you've learned.

The Centre is located at 79 Victoria Street, Nhill, and is available to all parents across our catchment area.

How to access

No referral is required. For more information and to book a place in the program, contact our Early Parenting Practitioner on 0448 906 100 or email hindmarshdaystay@wwhs.net.au
